Anxiety
Anxiety is a natural response to stressful or threatening situations, but when it becomes overwhelming or persistent, it can interfere with daily life. People are often frustrated with themselves, wondering, “Why can’t I just be normal!”
In the short term, we will find coping and calming skills that work for you, giving you immediate resources to feel better. Then, we will work to uncover the source of your anxiety and deal with it at a root level. I use a combination of evidence-based treatments for both short and long-term anxiety treatment. I help clients understand their anxiety from a neurobiological perspective to understand better why they are feeling anxious.
